PT. Santosh Kulkarni
Santosh Gajanan Kulkarni belongs to the family of rich musical heritage. His first Guru was his father, who is renowned tabla player and Guru , Karnatak Shree Pt. Gajanan Kulkarni. Later he learnt Tabla from Pt. Basavraj Bhendigiri of Dharwad. His passion to learn and to captured nuances and depth in playing tabla took him to Talyogi Sureshji Talwarkar of Mumbai. Santoshji hold the title “ Sangeet Visharad” and “Sangeet Alankar” from Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mumbai.
Santoshji was awarded the “ Taal Mani” title in International music conference.
He has given concerts in various festivals like “ Republic Day, at Res fort, “ Mysore Dasara at Mysore, “ Savai Gandharv” at Kundagol, “ Winter Carnival” at Manali, Algol Bharatnatyam Gandharv Mahabidyalaya conference at Nasik , “World Cultural Conference “ at Doha and many more.
His album “ Desert Bridges” became a sensation in fusion music. He created the music score for films “ Om” and “Aryan”. He is author of book “ Paramapara 1” and “ Parampara 2” on tabla . He is always enthusiastic to arrange workshops for his students and his skills in organizing music concerts and events like “ Taal Yatra” , and other fussion shows has been fruitful for his students.
Pt. Santosh Kulkarni is associates with Skills Development Centre as a Tabla Guru from last 12 years.
