Shri Prasad Pujar

Shri Prasad Pujar is one of the most experienced and talented singers and performers in Hindustani Classical Music. He holds the title ‘SANGEET VIDWAT’ from the SSLC Board, Ministry of Education, Karnataka State. Prasad Pujar was born into a musical family and belongs to the prestigious ‘KIRANA GHARANA,’ one of the prominent Indian Classical Khayal Gharanas. He is a disciple of Pandit B M Pujar and Guru Pandit Chandrashekhar Puranikmath bua from Dharwad, Karnataka, who was a renowned singer and musician.
Shri Prasad Pujar has delivered powerful and charismatic performances in many famous concerts, including the 5th World Kannada Cultural Convention in Qatar and the Rashtriya Yuva Utsav in India. Very few singers can perform ‘Dhrupad Gayan,’ which is the oldest known style of major vocal styles associated with Hindustani classical music. Pujar Sir is one of the Dhrupad singers in Qatar. For the past 8 years, he has been serving as a Hindustani Classical Music and Harmonium Instructor at the Skills Development Centre.
